We are thrilled to announce Daniel & Colleen Aversano as the 2020 One Night Signature Gala Honorees!  In August of 2018, at the age of 8 years old, their son Jack was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D).  Within days of the diagnosis Daniel & Colleen began working with JDRF to support research for cures.  The Aversano family continues to be major advocates and supporters of JDRF.  In the short period since Jack’s diagnosis, they have participated in various events, including the annual One Walk at Eisenhower Park, where Jack’s Warriors has been one of top fundraising teams for two consecutive years.   Daniel currently serves as Senior Vice President of Ad Innovation at WarnerMedia in their Manhattan office and Colleen is a special education teacher at Building Blocks Developmental Pre-School in Commack, NY.  The Aversano family resides in Huntington, NY with their 3 children Jack, Emma, and Alex.  

They are so deserving of this honor and we are truly grateful for their leadership and shared vision of a world without T1D.
